Tried Mama Henry’s on a whim and so glad we did! We were sat and put int drink orders right away. The service is top notch and the food was quick and delicious! If you’re not in the mood for a meal, the ice cream alone is worth the visit! It’s all homemade and the flavors change constantly. Highly recommend this establishment. I know we’ll be back!

Roast beef dinner - mash and okra Delicious. Philly steak sandwich fries -fantastic! It’s cozy and super friendly!! Service was excellent and that’s hard to come by these days!! Food was Hot and fresh! My taste buds were happy!! I would have liked the loaded fries better had they had shredded cheese melted instead of cheese sauce, but if you love cheese sauce these are the fries for you!! Lol

You haven't been to Mama Henry's? You are missing out! Firstly, when my husband and I are traveling, we randomly pick restaurants and food locations based on reviews and pictures. Also, we enjoy supporting small business owners versus restaurant chains. This small hole in the wall restaurant is one of our favorites now when we visit Columbia, SC. We have only been twice, but the first time, will keep you coming back for more! Our first time experience, the location is a house, I mean, what is Mama Henry's if it's not her own kitchen and table, right? So, we pull up, and the parking lot is a little rough. The front porch is set up to eat outside if you prefer versus inside. Inside you have an option for table or booth. We chose booth both times. It's peaceful and homey inside. To start off, we chose the cheese fries. They come with ranch dip. I would recommend the small if you plan to eat a meal. We ordered a large. My husband ordered the hamburger (forgot the name of it), which he loved along with his sides. I went with the roast dinner. Now let me explain something, you know the saying no one can cook like grandma...well I about came to tears! My grandparents who raised me have passed. It's been 16 years now. I felt like my grandparents just cooked me a homemade meal! We did not finish our food, it's a lot. We took the rest home. There was no room for dessert. The table across from us (locals) told us we ate wrong. They said next time we come, get the dessert (ice cream) first and then the meal because you can always take the meal home. A returning group (out of town) told us the same thing. So, our second time visiting, we started out with the cheese chips this time a small. We really enjoyed the chips versus the fries! My husband went with the spaghetti (which is really good!) and I went with the chicken Alfredo. I really like the chicken it was grilled the Alfredo was good I think the pasta may have soaked up the sauce some I would ask for a little more sauce on the meal but otherwise it was really good!! So this time, we saved room for dessert to find out what all the hype was about. The dessert...I chose the butter pecan ice cream. My husband chose the butter pecan gooey cake...we were asked if we wanted them put together on a plate. If you have read this far, let me tell you, say YES to the dessert any of the dessert! We were in shock when she brought out the dessert that I forgot to take a picture. I promise next time I will take one. They have 3-4(?) gooey cakes, pick one, then pick an ice cream, ask them to put the ice cream on the cake! You're welcome! Bring you kids just for the dessert. Just be prepared for them to make this their favorite dessert place. The locals and out of towners who told us to save room next time for dessert or eat the dessert first. Thank you! To the first time couple who sat across from us on our second time visiting, we hope you enjoyed your gooey cake! Next time you definitely have to save room and eat it there with some ice cream! To the ones reading this review, go get yourself some homemade cooking or dessert! You won't be disappointed!

Everything was good. Waitress was very friendly. Portions were more than we expected as we ordered the small spaghetti and alfredo with a salad. Look forward to going back.

Amazing, homemade food, sweet people and an adorable, cozy atmosphere... and they do not serve alcohol. They also give glory to our Lord snd Savior, Jesus Christ. I celebrated my 50th birthday there with my husband, children and my children's spouses. For desert, I had a homemade, caramel brownie with banana pudding ice cream and caramel drizzle :) This is the place to be for all people of all ages and no music was played, which was nice, because music can be a little annoying at times when your trying to enjoy family and eat.

I have driven by this small restaurant so many times in my life without stopping. Then my life and I were looking for lunch the other day and found an absolutely perfect place right here. We ordered a simple meal each and were presented with delicious treats. So good in fact that we were too full to eat anything from their locally famous ice cream selection. There is always a next time, God willing.

A cozy spot with good home cooked meals served with up with southern charm. We enjoyed the roast beef dinner, Caesar wrap, and a hot dog. All were delicious. We finished with ice cream (which we all agreed was good but not great - it just happened to be the only pic we took ). Loved seeing the cute cats outside snoozing in the sunshine.

I literally finished my meal less than 5 minutes ago. And I can’t type fast enough. It was so freaking good! We just moved to town and trying all the places and this one is at the top of the list. Everything is seasoned perfectly and cooked properly. The owner introduced herself and was very sweet and pleasant. The whole restaurant staff was! Our waitress was the sweetest. EAT HERE! You won’t be disappointed!
